> Ok so the fact that my weekend ended with Canada winning the Gold medal in hockey vs US just made this weekend on my top list of weekends WAHOOOO!!!
My weekend consisted of endless amounts of squats, cleans, deadlifts, sumo deadlift high pulls, snatches, med ball cleans, push jerk etc etc and all kinds of other delicious nastiness (I did my Crossfit cert) 😉 In addition to that we focused on the breakdowns and techniques of the Kipps and the Muscle Ups and so much more…I loved it! It was basically a weekend of intense play with an awesome group of people and the EMS was only called once LOL. The instructors were incredible. They were VERY thorough and most of all fun and everyone was so encouraging. I really loved the fact that you can see how everyone is ONLY competing with themselves and are cheering on everyone else as opposed to competing with eachother and that we were all so eager to learn and help eachother progress with the moves. These types of movements pretty much never get perfected but technique always improves if you keep at them. We did a ton of skills and drills and also were punished (yeah!!!) with tabata squats, FRAN (which is 3 rounds of 21-15-9 reps of the 95lbs for men/65lbs for women thruster and pullups for time), and an AMRAP in 12 mins of medicine ball cleans and pushups to the ground. I have so much fun in the environments like this and get so motivated. I think I am going to try to make it out to the Crossfit games this year and will definitely make a point of dropping by their area at the Arnold’s. I just got back and I am exhausted sooo goodnight! 🙂
