Guilt-Free Summertime Treat

Everyone needs a “cheat” meal of some sort if they are, the majority of the time, eating a healthy clean, nutrient dense diet and I must say, I just may have found one of my new favourites and wanted to share it with you. There are many healthy ways to enjoy and indulge if you make your own snacks or meals or really know food but than again there are some who are just looking for an easy ready to eat treat and that is what I am going to share with you. I am sure there are many of you who LOVE ice cream, especially in the summer, and whether you feel guilty eating it or can’t control yourself or have food allergies or intolerances, this little pint sized (you can totally eat the whole pint for only 150-200 kcals!!) taste of heaven called Artic Zero. It comes in four different flavours that I saw at the grocery store, vanilla, strawberry, chocolate and chocolate peanut butter and is gluten free, fat free and lactose intolerant friendly. This tasty treat is also packed with about 16-20 grams of whey protein, 6-8 grams of chicory root (providing natural fiber and also boosts calcium absorption) and best of all helps curb your cravings. Sure it doesn’t taste like the “real-deal” as it is not quite as creamy, but it is just as satisfying in my opinion and this stuff actually does provide some nutrition vs purely empty calories and the balance of protein will help keep your blood sugar in check and actually help muscle repair…who knew and ice cream treat could actually be GOOD for your physique goals and the fact that it is already portioned out for you helps prevent you from going overboard too. There are several other flavours and more information on their website here : but wanted to share with you my personal opinion on this stuff. It actually tastes really good and does satisfy that need without going overboard or feeling deprived. If you get the chance, try this stuff out for sure and don’t stress after eating the whole pint 😉
